Preparing Students for Success in High School, College and Beyond

The mission of Grace Christian Academy has always been to provide a quality Christian Education in a safe, caring and gang-free environment. This is a difficult task, because unlike public elementary schools, we do not receive state funding to assist with our budget. Grace is different from most other religion-based schools as well because we are without the financial support of our local congregation due to its own financial difficulties. Instead, Grace relies on tuition, gifts and fundraising to meet its budget and continue its mission to share the love of Jesus with the children of our world.

Many people who desire to support our students in a more direct way participate in our Adopt-A-Student Scholarship Program. This program provides tuition assistance scholarships to the neediest of our families while helping our school at the same time. Click HERE to learn more information about this program.

If you are a Thrivent member, one easy way to support Grace is to direct your Thrivent Choice dollars to Grace Christian Academy/Grace Lutheran School. Eligible Thrivent members are designated "Choice Dollars" dependant upon their insurance premiums, contract values and volunteer hours. Additional information about eligibility requirements and how to designate your dollars can be found at under Membership and Benefits.

There are many simple ways to help our school that require little or no effort!

GoodSearch raises money for Grace by generating one cent per Internet search. Participants download a tool bar, choose Grace Lutheran School, Chicago as the charity and begin earning money for our school.

GoodSearch also partners with GoodShop and other "Good" sites such as GoodGames and GoodSurveys. These sites earns funds for Grace anytime someone purchases an item from a participating store, "clicks through" from the GoodShop site or they takes a qualifying survey or plays a sponsored game.

All donations are automatically credited to our school and require no additional steps. Click on the GoodSearch logo below to be linked to these helpful sites.

Another way to support our school is to donate items from our wish list to Grace. Suggested items range from cleaning supplies such as disinfecting wipes to crayons and glue. This list is also ideal for holding a school or church wide collection!

One of the easiest ways to support Grace is to collect General Mills product box tops redemption.  Simply clip or collect the required part of the packaging and send it to the school office, where they are packaged before being turned in for redemption. General Mills box tops are worth 10 cents each, and are used for everything from buses for field trips to paper for the photocopier.  There are a variety of products that are eligible.  Click on the buttons below the picture to be linked to the web site which contain a complete listing of eligible products and additional information about the program.

If you are aware of a similar program that can benefit our school, please let us know by contacting the school office.

Our mission is to prepare students for success in high school, college and beyond, raising them up to be future Christian leaders in service to God and their community. If you would like to support us in our ministry, we ask that you consider a monetary gift. Whether $50 or $500, a monthly commitment or a one-time donation,  every gift supports our school by helping us to bridge the gap between the cost of educating  a child and the amount of tuition our parents can afford to pay, assisting our school to meet its budget and giving more students the opportunity to receive a quality Christian education.
