Preparing Students for Success in High School, College and Beyond

Students in 7 & 8 grade at Grace are challenged daily to increase their knowledge and understanding of the world and each other

Pre-Algebra classes are an important part of the curriculum, preparing these students for success in High School.

Technology is an important part of the 7 & 8 grade classroom. Our students video was featured on the opening title sequence of Cable in the Classroom's school news - and our students were able to watch themselves on their classroom's Smart Board.

Each spring, students in 7 & 8 participate in a week long trip to either Washington D.C. or Atlanta, Georgia. Fund-raising opportunities are scheduled throughout the school year  to keep the costs of this trip affordable for the students and parent chaperones that participate. All students are strongly encouraged to attend, as these trip help our students to expand their understanding of the world in which we live.

During the trip students visit sites that are important to the history of our country, including the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials (D.C.), the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site (Atlanta), the White House, Stone Mountain (Atlanta) and others. Students also participate in fun activities such as white-water rafting, touring Mammoth Caves (Kentucky) and visiting the Louisville Slugger Museum (Kentucky).
