Preparing Students for Success in High School, College and Beyond

In 3rd/4th grade you will become a more independent learner! You will also learn how to work in a group to accomplish goals and respect fellow students. You can expect to become a better reader! We will read a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction styles, practicing how to understand and think about what we read. In fourth grade we will start reading longer chapter books too. In math, you will learn how to multiply, divide, understand fractions, and more!  In wrtiing you will learn how to write a well-organized and well-written paragraph and essay, and we will practice typing skills. You will be prepared  for our science fair in the spring where you will also create and present your own project!

One exciting aspect of our classroom is  iPads and the eSpark program! Our classroom uses iPads daily to practice and perfect our literacy skills. Be ready to use them for other subjects too!

3rd and 4th grade students sing a song that  they composed about South Africa.
